Learning in a Digital Learning Environment
What are the 4Cs?
The 4Cs for 21st century learning are Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration. They are part of the framework for 21st Century Learning and are designed to support student learning in today’s world and are skills they can use in college and career.
What is communication (and what isn’t it)?
The P21 framework emphasizes effective use of oral, written, and nonverbal communication skills for multiple purposes (e.g., to inform, instruct, motivate, persuade, and share ideas). It also focuses on effective listening, using technology to communicate, and being able to evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts—all within diverse contexts (adapted from P21). Note that working in partners is a great way to collaborate or build shared understanding but a critical part of communication is sharing with an authentic audience.

Healthy Lifestyle
Think you're leading a healthy lifestyle? Aside from occasionally veering off the path, most of us think we do a fair job of maintaining our health with good (or at least OK) eating habits and physical activity whenever we manage to fit it in. But is that enough to be considered "healthy?"
According to a recent study, very few adults actually meet the criteria for a healthy lifestyle. The study, published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, showed that only 3% of American adults got a perfect score on what the authors say are the four basic criteria for healthy living. Just 13.8% met three of the criteria; 34.2% met only two criteria. Women scored slightly better than men.
See how well you measure up on the researchers' four keys to healthfulness:

Do you smoke?
Are you able to maintain a healthy weight (a BMI of 18-25), or are you successfully losing weight to attain a healthy weight?
Do you eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily?
Do you exercise 30 minutes or more, 5 times a week?

The good news is that these behaviors should not be foreign to you, as all but one are an integral part of the Weight Loss Clinic. Numbers 2 through 4 are the foundation of the WLC program, habits that we continually discuss, write about, and recommend. testing

Go Back
Example, if the task is to predict the next word in the sentence "Do you want a…………?

The RNN neurons will receive a signal that point to the start of the sentence.
The network receives the word "Do" as an input and produces a vector of the number. This vector is fed back to the neuron to provide a memory to the network. This stage helps the network to remember it received "Do" and it received it in the first position.
The network will similarly proceed to the next words. It takes the word "you" and "want." The state of the neurons is updated upon receiving each word.
The final stage occurs after receiving the word "a." The neural network will provide a probability for each English word that can be used to complete the sentence. A well-trained RNN probably assigns a high probability to "café," "drink," "burger," etc.

Performance assessment of natural pozzolan roller compacted concrete pavements
Concrete pavement is cost effective and beneficial because of its sustainability and durability. The maintenance and renovation periods for such pavement compared to other pavements are relatively long; however, a significant issue with pavements, especially roller compacted concrete pavements (RCCP), is salt scaling which occurs due to saline solutions such as deicer salts. In the present work, the performance of RCC containing a natural pozzolan called Trass, as a supplementary cementitious material, and an air-entraining agent for salt scaling was investigated. Mechanical and durability tests were performed on specimens containing a water to binder ratio of 0.32, with and without Trass, and an air-entraining agent. It was concluded that, Trass could not improve the compressive and tensile strengths, however, the permeability was improved. Moreover, the amount of mass loss due to salt scaling was not decreased. In all concrete mixtures, using a suitable amount of an air-entraining agent to maintain a total air content of 4.5–5% was found to be necessary for producing RCC containing Trass.

test
Science and technology is a topic that encompasses science, technology, and the interactions between the two. Science is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of explanations and predictions about nature and the universe. Technology is the collection of techniques, methods or processes used in the production of goods or services or the accomplishment of objectives, such as scientific investigation, or any other consumer demands.
Science may drive technological development, by generating demand for new instruments to address a scientific question, or by illustrating technical possibilities previously unconsidered. In turn, technology may drive scientific investigation, by creating a need for technological improvements that can only be produced through research, and by raising questions about the underlying principles that a new technology relies on.
For the majority of human history, technological improvements were achieved by chance, trial and error, or spontaneous inspiration. When the modern scientific enterprise matured in the Enlightenment, it primarily concerned itself with fundamental questions of nature. Research and development directed towards immediate technical application is a relatively recent occurrence, arising with the Industrial Revolution and becoming commonplace in the 20th century.
