Primer text from the U.S. Department of Education.
Primer text from the U.S. Department of Education.
Numerous studies have found that positive results occur when the major stakeholders in a student's education collaborate to address a child's ADHD (Blazer, 1999; Bos, 1999; Bos, Nahmias, & Urban, 1999; Nahmias, 1995; Williams & Carteledge, 1997).
Effective collaboration and communication between home and school provide structure across the two major settings in the child's life. Common rewards, reinforcement strategies, and language help to promote consistency across settings.
Bos et al. (1999) reported that collaborative partnerships between home and school were especially important during the initial assessment of the child's disability and educational needs, the development of behavior modification plans, the evaluations of medication, and the coordination of assignments.
Parents and teachers can share information with one another if they work together to plan behavioral and academic strategies for the student.
Parents can offer information about the child-including the child's medical history, hobbies and interests, effective reinforcers, and behavior in other settings-that may inform the decisions made by the teacher and other members of the IEP team.
The teacher can keep parents informed about their child's progress, performance, and behavior in school.

[UA→GA4] Recreate Universal Analytics audiences
Recreate your Universal Analytics audiences in Google Analytics 4
Use the GA4 Migrator for Google Analytics Google Sheets add-on to recreate audiences from a Universal Analytics property in a Google Analytics 4 property.

You can recreate audiences that are based on dimensions and metrics that are available in both Universal Analytics and Google Analytics 4. Audiences that are available for recreation are identified as such in the tool. If an audience is not available for recreation, you can recreate it in Google Analytics 4 using similar dimensions and metrics.

ChatGPT FAQ for MSU Educators
What can ChatGPT do and not do?
A: What ChatGPT can do:

ChatGPT can generate text related to natural language processing, including, but not limited to, answering questions, translating text from one language to another, providing writing assistance by proofreading, editing, and offering suggestions, generating content (e.g., writing an essay, creating a story or poem, summarizing a long article, brainstorming ideas), and engaging in conversations. The tool can also be used to generate and edit code.

In the context of higher education instruction, some educators have already started experimenting with ChatGPT for developing curriculum plans, learning activities, various types of assessments, and rubrics, as well as providing feedback on students’ writing. Students might use ChatGPT to explore different learning topics, get editing suggestions on their written work, brainstorm ideas for projects, and even generate responses to quizzes, exams, and essays, some of which would raise academic integrity issues.

What ChatGPT cannot do:

ChatGPT does not access current websites for information, and according to its statement of limitations, ChatGPT has “limited knowledge of world events after 2021,” and “may occasionally generate incorrect information” and “harmful instructions or biased content.” It is not very accurate at listing citations/references and all output should be checked, as it often makes things up. However, processes are improved with GPT-4 and results may change significantly with new versions over time.

While ChatGPT can create new content based on the data it has been trained on, it still lacks the ability to generate truly original ideas or solve complex problems that require higher-order thinking and creativity. Even though ChatGPT can assist with providing feedback on student work, it is important to note that OpenAI recommends against educators relying on ChatGPT, as giving student feedback involves possible decision making and complex, context-based considerations. See Educator Considerations for ChatGPT for more details of OpenAI’s discussion on the use of ChatGPT in education.

ChatGPT can be used as an assistant for designing, developing, and teaching courses, but it is not a substitute for educators’ teaching expertise. The best way to learn about its capabilities and limitations is to experiment with ChatGPT within your specific teaching context.

ADHD and School interventions
https://education.wm.edu/centers/ttac/documents/packets/adhd.pdf
School interventions should include a team approach across multiple settings, consisting of both
preventive and intervention strategies.
Interventions must be based upon assessment data that includes information about the student’s strengths and needs as well as the environmental conditions in which her characteristics of ADHD occur.
Progress monitoring and strategy adjustments are critical to the success of any intervention plan (Wolraich & DuPaul, 2010).

Use task management tools
Consider using efficient tools to simplify task management and task completion. These tools can help you manage limited time and implement effective project management techniques. Consider using the following task management tools to increase efficiency:

Software applications: Consider using project management software that allows you to collaborate with your team members, monitor their progress, and prioritize tasks. You can choose a software program that allows you to communicate directly with your team.

Calendars: If you have strict deadlines, you can input them in your calendar and regularly refer to them to help ensure you meet them. To help you remember tasks, you can add reminder notifications to a digital calendar.

Visual boards: A visual board is a digital or physical visualization of every task a team has to complete to conclude a project. You can divide your visual board into three categories, such as to do, complete, and in progress, to help the team identify the project's next steps.

Why Use C++
C++ is one of the world's most popular programming languages.

C++ can be found in today's operating systems, Graphical User Interfaces, and embedded systems.

C++ is an object-oriented programming language which gives a clear structure to programs and allows code to be reused, lowering development costs.

C++ is portable and can be used to develop applications that can be adapted to multiple platforms.

C++ is fun and easy to learn!

As C++ is close to C, C# and Java, it makes it easy for programmers to switch to C++ or vice versa.
