    Fact: ADHD diagnosis is on the rise

    ADHD is one of the most prevalent psychiatric illnesses of young people in America.
    A recent study showed that ADHD diagnosis has gone up 43 percent from 2003 to 2011.

    Deconstructing Tasks: Break tasks into smaller units.
    o Limit amount of work per page.
    o Cover up part of the work on a page.
    o Allow extra time for completing tasks.
    o Provide work breaks.
    o Allow student to use a computer to type or to use speech-to-text software.

    Seating Arrangements: Seat the student with ADHD away from distractions and close to
    the teaching action.
